Website privacy and cookies

IPatyj IPTV Player (“IPatyj”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent IPTV media player. This policy explains how the app handles information.

1. Information handled by the app

IPatyj does not require an account. The current version does not include advertising, developer-operated analytics or a developer-operated cloud service for storing user data.

The app may store locally on your device the playlists and channel metadata you import; playlist and programme-guide source addresses; favourites and recently watched channels; interface language and app settings; parental-control settings and PIN; programme-guide data; and channel-logo references.

This locally stored information is not sent to an IPatyj-operated server.

2. Playlist files and network requests

You may import an M3U or M3U8 playlist from a file, URL or pasted text. A selected local file is read only after you choose it through the Android file picker. The app does not request broad access to all files on your device.

When you open a playlist URL, play a stream, download programme-guide information or load a channel logo, the app connects directly to the address supplied by you, your playlist, the configured XMLTV source or a public channel-metadata catalogue. Those external servers may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and request details. Their data practices are controlled by their respective operators, not by IPatyj.

Playlist addresses can contain private access credentials. They are stored locally on your device. Do not share screenshots or exported data containing those addresses. Some sources use unencrypted HTTP rather than HTTPS, so transport security depends on the source you select.

3. Voice search and microphone access

Voice search is optional. The app requests microphone permission only when you start voice search.

IPatyj uses Android’s speech-recognition service. Depending on your device and its speech-service settings, microphone audio may be processed on the device or transmitted to the speech-recognition provider for temporary processing. IPatyj receives the recognized text and uses it to search for a channel. IPatyj does not record, retain, sell or send microphone audio to an IPatyj-operated server.

You can deny or revoke microphone permission in Android settings and continue using text search and the rest of the app.

4. Data sharing and sale

IPatyj does not sell personal data. IPatyj does not provide imported playlists, viewing history, favourites, parental-control settings or voice recordings to advertisers or data brokers.

Network requests initiated to play user-selected content or retrieve programme information are sent directly to the relevant third-party source as described above.

5. Retention and deletion

Local information remains on the device until it is cleared in the app, the app’s storage is cleared in Android settings or the app is uninstalled. The app provides controls to clear the current playlist, favourites and recently watched channels.

IPatyj does not maintain a user account or an IPatyj-operated server database from which personal data must be deleted. Android system backup behaviour may depend on the device and operating-system settings.

6. Children

IPatyj is a general-purpose media player and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not control the content of user-provided playlists. Adults responsible for a device should use the parental-control features and ensure that imported sources are appropriate and lawful.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised when an update is published.

Website privacy and cookies

This notice covers ipatyjplayer.com and its hosted mirror. The application policy above covers the Android app. The controller for the website is Sergejs Rudenko (IPatyj), reachable at ipatyj.support@gmail.com.

Website requests and purpose

Opening a page or video sends your IP address, requested URL, time of access, browser and device information and, when supplied by your browser, referring-page and language information to the hosting infrastructure. These data are used to deliver the requested content, maintain reliability and protect against abuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The current website has no visitor accounts, advertising pixels or developer-installed audience analytics.

Cookies and browser storage

Cloudflare sets the security cookie __cf_bm to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. Cloudflare states that it expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. Its purpose is bot protection, not advertising. Other security cookies may be used if the hosting infrastructure presents a security challenge; their current descriptions are available in Cloudflare’s cookie documentation linked below.

When you manually choose a site language, we store the language code in your browser under ipatyj_site_language using localStorage. It has no automatic expiry and remains until you change the selection or clear the site data. We read it to remember your requested language, not to track you. If there is no saved selection or explicit language in the link, we use the language preferences supplied by your browser.

We do not ask you to accept optional tracking that the site does not use. Storage strictly necessary to provide a requested function is treated separately from consent-based analytics or marketing. Continuing to browse is not consent. Before adding optional tracking requiring consent, we will provide a choice and prevent that tracking until consent is given.

Your browser controls

You can remove cookies and the saved language in your browser’s site-data settings for ipatyjplayer.com. If you also use the hosted mirror, clear its site data separately. Blocking local storage does not prevent reading the site; the language may no longer be remembered. Blocking security cookies may cause additional checks or prevent access. To use automatic language selection after clearing the saved preference, open a link without the lang parameter.

Hosting, recipients and international processing

The website is hosted through OpenAI ChatGPT Sites and delivered and protected through Cloudflare. These providers and their service providers process technical requests to operate, secure and support the site. Their roles and processing terms are described in the linked hosting and privacy documents. Processing may occur outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. OpenAI’s Sites data-processing terms describe safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses for applicable transfers.

Instructional videos, including their prerecorded narration, are served from this website. Watching them does not send your voice or viewing request to ElevenLabs. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

Email support and retention

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Our mailbox provider, Google/Gmail, processes this correspondence to deliver and store it. We use it to respond to your request and resolve issues, based on our legitimate interests in providing support, or to take requested contractual steps where applicable. Please do not send playlist passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.

The language preference remains until changed or deleted; the security cookie lifetime is described above. Technical logs are retained under the hosting providers’ operational and security policies. A fixed site-specific log-retention period has not been provided to us; relevant criteria include service operation, investigation of abuse, legal requirements and dispute resolution. We do not promise that all hosting logs are deleted when you close your browser. Support correspondence is kept while needed to resolve the enquiry and any related dispute or legal obligation. You may request deletion or information about the applicable retention through our contact address.

Your privacy rights

Where applicable, you may request access to, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing and portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact ipatyj.support@gmail.com and describe your request; we may need proportionate information to verify it. You can also complain to a competent supervisory authority, including Latvia’s Datu valsts inspekcija. We do not use website visitor data for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
